Once again, a local abandoned site in the local news. many places end up being used by party groups, raves and far less savory purposes. Given the gang activity and chaos in our area, it surprises me that this doesn't happen more. The amazing part is that we explored this area only 2 months ago.
To let folks know, I've not heard anything regarding the body found in a ruin east of Palmdale, CA three months ago or of Felicia following the fire that gutted "Floyd's Place."

PALMDALE - Sheriff's homicide detectives are looking for details in the shooting death of a Lancaster man who was killed early Sunday at a large party advertised on Myspace.com.
Ramon Ramirez, 19, was shot in the head about 12:15 p.m. in the 13100 block of Avenue Q, near 130th Street East. He was attending a party on a 40-acre property with an abandoned house, said Detective G. Sica of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.
Approximately 100 people attended the party. When deputies arrived at the party, only two people had remained and tried to administer aid to Ramirez, he said. The event was organized by a party crew, who, Sica said, often throw parties in the Valley.
Sica said the motive for the shooting is unknown. He is looking to speak with people who may have attended the party or are members of the party crew.
