Bats Day 2007

Three days of Gothy mayhem;

Several thousand participants;

Working my arse off chasing photos;

Saw five (of six) incredible bands;

Shopped dozens of merchants;

Low 90's (30 C) and 40% humidity each day;

Working 18 hours each day;

1600 2400 photos shot (changed based on battery use and frame count);

Experiencing the event from this perspective -

Priceless!

That's what I did last year! It was truly priceless!!! I had such a blast being lead photog last year, but I just can't do that every year. My biggest regret was not getting to spend Bats Day with my friends last year, as I was working too much (photog); so, I took this year to enjoy the entire day with friends (plus I had guests from out of town visiting from FL this weekend for a wedding they were in).

It was an incredible weekend, and I'm glad I got to experience it from both perspectives (last year's photog lead and this year's wandering around with friends experience). Glad you had fun! Can't wait to see your pix!

I was at California Adventure on Sunday and saw some of the goth folks. My bro was remarking on how hot some of the outfits must have been! The humidity wasn't like Minnesota, but it wasn't what I was expecting, either. I liked it better out in Calico!

I was in Disneyland most of Sunday. Darn if I'd known you were going to be there we could have met up. Some of the costumes were toasty. Some of the participants looked toasty in them too. Either way, it was great fun.

Yeah, if I had remembered about the Bats Day event or known far enough ahead of time that I would be out there, or some combination thereof, I would have tried to make contact.
