1. Cavalier(s):
   Is what I look like and behave like when I do SCA historical reenactment. It's also the attitude I have with living. Not flippant at all. Chivalry with spirit, honor with respect, courtesy with playfulness. Read the quote from Cyrano in the user profile to sum it up.
2. Edwards AFB:
   So much history and lore is steeped around the place a flew out of for a year and worked at as a flight test engineer for another two. You can almost taste the past (heavy metals and chemicals will do that).
3. Ghost Towns:
   The are truly amazing places where one gains an appreciation for the past, how people lived and where time moves a bit slower.
4. Halloween:
   Ah the season for ghosts and spirits to be more noticed among the living. The weather is cooler. In many places the leaves are turning.
5. Horses:
   I grew up close to the Bluegrass region of Kentucky and developed a strong love for horses, horse racing, showing and riding. The Arabs have a saying that Allah, wrapped up the four winds into a bundle and when the package was opened, there was the first horse. Though not a Muslim, I can certainly appreciate that.
6. Movies:
   Where else can a person leave their world, their reality, their cares or troubles for a few hours and be somewhere completely different? Unless you're independantly wealthy or prone to heavy hallucinations, only at the movies.
7. Pagan:
   Read my beliefs and philosophies in my background and description.
8. SCA:
   For 15 years, I've played in this recreation and education group. It's been a second family in some cases. Supporting, educating, disfunctional and fractious. Sometimes I wonder why I come back, but I still do.
9. Soundgarden:
   Nirvana may have been the most noticed and influential band of the 90's, but Soundgarden captured the spirit of the grunge era in my book. This was the complete package (strong song writing, powerful melodies, spirited performance and staying power).
10. Wicca:
    Mainstream religions seek to establish dominion for one neat, simple structure of belief (that frequently compete against each other over the how's and who's). I accept that I can't fit a single concept or view of what's holy into a nice neat package. I know there's much more and don't have the audacity to try to say my way is better or superimpose my image upon that which is greater than I.
