Orbits of a deluded mind

I just spoke with the computer technician checking over my system. The video card and the mother board are cooked. The AGP (video) slot is shorted out and the tech can't guarantee anything works on the mother board (including memory cards). The hard drives should be isolated enough to have survived without damage.

What does this mean? At present, I only have access to a computer at work. The good thing is I can post things on LJ and send some messages out via LJ and Yahoo Groups (mail) which isn't blocked by firewalls and security software. I may be able to use a computer at the library or borrow a friend's computer if they are made available. I'm going to try to hook up my daughter's computer to the net tonight, but I have to load anti-virus software tonight and work the DSL set-up.

The bad thing is that I can not get to my e-mail on any regular or web-based account. I have to individually check messages on LJ and groups on Yahoo. I can't not open individual e-mails sent to any of my e-mail accounts. Don't even try to send me mail and expect a fast reply.
