Abandoned Places – Thousand Oaks – May 08

Enigma House (Part 2 of 2)

Why call it “Enigma House” ?.. One odd feature stood out. With one exception, every fixture in the house remained intact with light bulbs still in them.

Bathroom

A tub with a view

So many warm fires must have burned here and kept thousands warm and buzzing with excitement. Look slightly to the left of the fireplace..

Honey bees

Evicted

Sadly there must have been hundreds of corpses smoked and blacken at the bottom of the nest.

Left in haste?

As has been discussed, this site has been torn down completely at this time. Only this memory remains.

Light bulbs and killed bees add up to the notion that someone was staying there and wanted light and no stings. Or at least free honey.
